Chronic Bee Paralysis…not ANOTHER virus???

Chronic Bee Paralysis Virus: Susceptibility and transmission routes

During this talk, Theodora Commandeur will update us on her latest research on Chronic bee paralysis virus (CBPV). Theodora is a PhD student at Newcastle University. Her PhD is focussing on the interaction between diet and forage availability and CBPV.

Over the last 2 years, Theodora has conducted experiments and she will share her results with us. She has looked at a range of transmission pathways of the virus, including environmental contamination, faecal contamination and via trophallaxis, on both summer and winter bees.
