Keeping Bees with Asian Hornets
The Asian Hornet is yet another pest that is close to establishing itself in the UK, although there have been no sightings in Ireland yet. Because of its aggressive predation on honeybees, most beekeepers are understandable concerned about how it could impact their beekeeping. Richard keeps his bees in Brittany where these hornets are active, and he has had to adjust his beekeeping to take them into account. This talk explains what a beekeeper has to do to allow for successful beekeeping.
Richard is based in Brittany and started beekeeping a few years ago and has been hooked ever since. He is a prolific YouTuber and blogger, doing regular posts on the practical “how to” do things that he found really difficult to do when he started.
