YBKA Module 2 Study Sessions – 1 of 5
Sessions only available to YBKA Members – See email from YBKA to register
We are pleased to announce a new series of YBKA zoom study sessions. These 5 sessions will be built around the syllabus for BBKA Module 2 – Honey bee Products and Forage – but are open to ALL YBKA members irrespective of whether you intend to take the exam. Each session will run from 7-8.30pm on the dates shown below. This course is ideal for anyone who has kept bees for a couple of seasons and would like to extend and consolidate their learning. As always – we have two excellent, experienced beekeepers to lead the sessions.
About your tutors:
DAVE SHANNON has been a beekeeper for around 30 years and holds the General Husbandry assessment as well as the Senior Honey judge certificate. He is an assessor for the BBKA and frequently gives talks to associations about preparing, selling, and showing honey and beeswax. He is the author of ‘A comprehensive guide to preparing exhibits for a honey show’ and last but by no means least is the chairman of Yorkshire beekeepers!
WENDY MASLIN became a Master beekeeper in 2017 having started to keep bees in 2004. She manages anywhere between 10 and 20 colonies on a couple of out apiaries, mostly with her husband Simon or another bee buddy.
